Oil leak I am really stumped

Hey guys I am new to 4runners but NOT new to cars or working on them. I picked up a 95 4runner with 209k miles for 800 bucks because the "headgaskets are blown". a shop said the heads were blown because they did a block test and i turned yellow right away. Other than that I have seen 0 symptoms of a blown head gasket, it does not appear to consume oil or coolant and it does not over heat.

BUT, it does leak oil like crazy, it looks like one of the leaks might be the rear main, because some (not nearly as much as the other leak) oil pools at the bottom of the converter housing. But the other leak is quite obvious, and it drips from the edge of the oil pan near the AC pump but it looks like it is actually coming from above the oil pan but below the valve cover gasket on the front passenger side of the motor. I have laid under the car while it is running and I do not see any dripping but as soon as I shut off the motor it begins to pour from this area.

It does not appear to be the valve cover because they look clean.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I cant really drive it with this massive leak, Thanks in advance!

 

Have you looked in this area of the TSB to see if it is this gasket--common problem.

 

is this the same motor that is in a 95? I have kind of decided to just rebuild the entire motor... I am kind of thinking that it is both crank seals and the heads are blown, probably time for a rebuild... just seems like 200k is premature.

 

Think the 95 uses a 3.0 and this motor is the 4.0. The common failure was stress from the water pump to the seal. Some leak at 5K. At 200 I would probably look for a low mileage used engine. Replace the seals during the install process.

 

Did you ever figure out where the oil was coming from? Having exact same issue on 95 4runner I bought the other day
