Making this thread to keep up with my build progress.

Started out in October of 2024 with a stock 2019 Off Road with 48k miles.

Since then I have added Dobinsons IMS 3/2 lift with their Billet UCAs, 285/70 Falken MTs, RRW Wheels, C4 Fab Low Pro Bumper, and a Warn Winch.

I have also tinted the windows and retro fitted the newer LED headlights.

Love the look. How does it ride? I will not make any drastic suspension changes in mine until I put some miles on it. My concern has always been that when you make significant suspension mods, then you shift the point of failure. Heavier wheels/tires, angle changes on CV axles, etc move the forces on components to places not originally engineered to take them. Dont get me wrong these mods are made all of the time and eventually I will do some of them but there will always be a cost. Physics doesn't discriminate.

It honestly rides great! Slightly stiffer than stock as in it doesn’t have has much body roll when braking/accelerating. I personally wanted that so works for me. There are softer options and firmer options.

And I hear your concern on changing things from stock. Lifting it does change the factory angles and dynamics but only past a certain lift height does it become a major issue. Keep in mind, TRD pros come with a slight lift already. But yes the higher you go, the more things you need to upgrade and the more potential issues. The absolute max want to go is 3” in the front and 2” in the back (what I have). In fact, going lower would require less parts to be updated. I personally was willing to take the accept the trade offs and buy all the required/recommended parts. The biggest thing I have to worry about is my CV axel boot leaking. If and when that happens they make high angle CV boots that I will replace with and I’ll be good to go

I am on over thinker and perfectionist and I live by the motto of “buy once, cry once”.

I did an ungodly amount of research on brands, lift heights, tire size, wheel types, control arms. Every question you can think of i probably asked myself and researched. I weighed my stock wheels and diligently researched different tire and wheel specs to make sure I wasn’t going over a certain weight. I spent hours just researching upper control arms. It’s also extremlyyyyyy important to find a shop you trust.

I also firmly believe that if you don’t cheap out on the parts and buy quality stuff, they're better than stock components. Highly recommend dobinsons.
