I just recently purchased a 07 4runner, I'm new to these coming from the jeep world, mine came with 4 new rims off a 5th gen 4runner 2017 I like them better but would they fit mine? Also what the best way to replace the rear dome light? The switch is loose. Thanks in advance

You can put any rim from any year 4 runner you want. They all have the same lug pattern.

as far as the dome light, pop the lens off, there are 2 tabs that press together and it will fall out of the headliner. (slightly more difficult but its really easy)

Thanks guys I appreciate the feedback glad to hear the wheels will fit. As for the the dome light it's not the light, its replacing the swith I guess. I'm trying to explain it best way possible. When you click it to the on off auto position the lever is loose like. Thanks again!

The lug pattern is the same but the size of the brake calipers and rotors are not. So don't try to put a 15" 2nd gen wheel on a 4th gen that came with 17" wheels or you'll have a bad day.

^^ Yep looks like you'll need 16" or larger, should be fine with any 5th gen wheel. For the loose dome light switch you're probably looking at complete replacement, dealer or junkyard.

For te dome light I took the junkyard route, beats paying over$40 compared to $5 lol. Thanks for the help.

AFAIK it won't bolt right up. You'd have to press out the lower bushing and replace it with one that fits the 4th gen.

Yep lower strut mount is different, depending on what brand they are there's different ways to fix that. Some coilover brands also spec different shock lengths for 4th-5th gen so best to just get a 4th gen part.
