I just finally purchased the Dongar adapter. I found a 12% coupon code online so with shipping, total came to like $44. Thanks for all the recommendations!

I tried the Fit CamX and returned it because the housing mounting tangs broke when trying to install it. It’s a very tight fit and cheap plastic housing.
I ended up going with the VIOFO Mini A119 v2. It has BT and the image quality is excellent both day and night. I mounted it behind my rear view mirror and I forget it’s there. $120 with the discount code.

I've read through this entire thread, and know less than before I started...what would be nice is a list showing what works on 2019 and older. That way I could ignore everything else. Or maybe better - what doesn't work on 2019 or older.

Check a YouTube channel called Project Farm, he did a video comparison of several dash cams a couple months ago and that’s how I came into the VIOFO cam I mentioned in the post above yours. I have the same camera in a 2001 Tundra and and my 2024 4R, the only difference is how I ran the power cord. I didn’t hardwire mine so they don’t work when parked and the engine is off.

I received my dongar adapter in the mail today and used it to an install a miofive s1 dash cam that I got brand new from an Amazon liquidation auction for $30.

The install went good but I broke one of the tabs off of the cover protecting the 10 pin connector. It seems pretty secure for now but hopefully I can grab a replacement one.
