Just got a new monthly premium for $290 a month from Farmers. 2020 5th Gen. and I’ve got a good driving record. Been with them since I got my DL in HS back in 91. Now thinking about switching and getting quotes from Geico and AAA. Any recommendations? Looking for reputable companies that can follow through on claims. The only requirement I have with Farmers is OEM replacement parts only.

My USAA premium went up here in San Diego recently, too. I’m guessing it’s due to increasing property crime and theft rates. We overpay for everything in CA already, might as well have high auto insurance rates, too.

I have State Farm and the rates are getting crazy. My premium for my 21’ was $680 in socal back in 2021. This was for full coverage every semi annually. Now it’s $980 every semi annually.

Part of why your rates went up is because you have stuck with the same company. I used to be loyal to one company and then I shopped around and saved quite a bit. It’s unfortunate but true, our loyalty is rewarded by increasing premiums. I now shop around every couple of years. Admittedly, it’s a game of wack-k-mole.

$980 is a deal compared to my $1745 semiannual.

Spot on my friend! There is no loyalty anymore with any of the crooked insurance companies. Here in AZ rates are high too because of all the illegals and fools with no insurance.

Holy shit! I thought mine was high in TX.i search for rates every 6 months. @Slopemaster is right there is no loyalty to you, so makes you loyal to them?

And i get quotes every year for home
