Hi guys. I heard spraying with Krown rust protection.. Is not recommended for the newer 4 runners. They say it’s not good got the electronics, wiring etc.

I have a 2023 4 runner. A sprayed application of a wax or rubber-based composite to the underside of a vehicle to create a rust-proof layer.

New cars are coated with materials that protect the chassis from rust, salt, and oil, but the protection wears off over time. Would you guys recommend getting it touched up once a year. Or take a chance and spray with Krown every year? As it is top of the line protection.

    Thanks

Fluid film, Surface Shield or Woolwax every year and you are good to go.

Look at it this way. Water and salt isn't good for the electronics, wiring, etc. either. It's your choice.

Im up in Canada in the Toronto area where the roads are white because of salt. Im not kidding ,and I just purchased a 2023 4runner with 16000 km. I have owned North American cars all my life Which have all died because of rust. This is my first Japanese vehicle. I have did the comercial spraying of vehicles every year, mind u they were always used cars , but with this one I am going to spray it myself ,and rip out every panel that I can get as much proofing as I can lay down, In every seam, every corner ,every weld. I want the car driving behind me to turn on his wipers because of the overspray as I drive by . Im tired of being ripped off by RUSTPROOFERS, so this year im doing it MYSELF. I purchased a spray gun from Princess Auto and a gallon of proofing and when on holiday away I go.I think I can do better than them . Maybe it will take a weedend, but it will not be washed off in two rain storms

Just started doing this in the most venerable spots, its a great ide.

Not so sure about Krown though. I would stick with Fluid film or Woolwax
