My 2006 4Runner has a Move steel bumper and want to go back to a factory setup - unfortunately the guy I bought it from pitched all the original hardware when he replaced it. Would anyone have a decent list of what all I would need to do a replacement? I know there are left and right brackets, front support with foam and the bumper itself, but I’m sure I’m missing something. I know I’ll also need both fender well liners as he trimmed the existing ones.

There are factory manuals you can download on the inter web and get all of the parts information you need to return your front end back to stock.

Keep us updated on how easy/hard this return to stock bumper comes along. I still have my front bumper and most parts, except for some plastic clips that IIRC broke, from when I put my Shrockworks front bumper on 19 yrs ago. Considering maybe returning it to stock some day, if either of my kids wants it stock.

If I go the “piece together” and build route, my biggest worry is everything fitting together. I can get some parts from Toyota, until it’s cost prohibitive, the rest will probably be Chinese made, like the cover.

After exhausting my used options, I’ll probably start buying pieces soon. I’m hoping I can buy all the parts for around $500, and my body shop friend can color match the cover for me for maybe a couple hundred bucks. I am for sure going to test fit everything, and take it to him installed - he can remove, paint and reinstall.

I have an ‘07 and some of what you need is in my basement. Depending on where you’re located, it might make sense to have it shipped. Plus, here’s a diagram of the front that I used when I installed my winch bumper. Which reminds me, the parts I have are clean and there’s nothing wrong with them, I just didn’t need them anymore.

I messaged the guy I bought the 4Runner from and he said that the foam and the impact bumper / brackets are all he had to remove to put on the Move bumper, so yes indeed those are the exact parts, including the grill insert, that I’ll be looking for (in addition to a good bumper cover, either used or new). I’d be interested in what estimated shipping would be, I’m in zip 67212. I can figure if you give me the length of the bracket and estimate the weight. I can get new on everything shown for about $150-200, but thats not OEM stuff.

Also, were you able to leave all of the other existing bumper brackets in place when you put your winch bumper on?

Here’s how the winch bumper bolted on to where that front bumper piece comes off.

I’ll measure and weigh the items and look into the shipping cost and let you know. Might take a couple of days.

No hurry, thanks. So did you retain your original bumper cover?

    It’s still on the truck.

That looks great! Best setup I’ve seen, much better than the bulky steel bumpers, fantastic job. Really like the grill too, I haven’t seen one like that before.

Thanks. I had given up on getting a winch bumper b/c I didn’t like the look of any of them. But when I saw the Lost Trails product, it struck me as looking like what a factory winch bumper would have looked like had Toyota offered one.

I measured and weighed the parts. They’re only ~22 lbs. but of course they’re bulky. UPS Ground comes up around $55.

That’s about what I came up with on a 8x8x48 box weighing 25 lbs., how much would you want for the pictured parts, and you can include the freight cost if you want.
