Recently had check engine light with trac off light on. Was P2443 code. My shop replaced the 2 banks of SAIS system. Lights came back on so replaced secondary air pump which was sooo expensive. Hoping this does the trick. Anyone else have to replace all 3 items??

Did they notice if the foam filter broke down and was ingested?

Yes, should have searched first, thx. No foam in it, removed it and had uni filter on it. But had just done that mod recently so kinda weird coincidence. Now its back to stock because I wasnt sure what caused it so just put an entire new one in.

So my engine light and trac off went on again and everything has been replaced, maybe have to take it to the dealer.

Sorry to hear man. I was wondering about the foam filter in case it was a common cause of the failure. There is a bypass kit for that SAIS.

I'll just throw this out there because those lights can mean so many different things - same lights on the dash lit up two weeks after I got my 4R brand new. Turned out to be a rodent-chewed injector wire.

I know about the bypass kit but all the parts to repair SAIS have been done so kinda want to get it fixed to stock. Also this happened right after I had a Magnuson installed so not sure if that caused something. I may have to do a delete kit but want to wait to see if I can get it fixed without. Its at the dealer again so we will see. Thx for the help. I guess it could be something weird like a rodent. I also heard the bypass kit can be a bit of a pain too so not sure about that. Also can you still smog it with the bypass kit?

Finally found the culprit. One if the wires going into bank #2 was broken. Probably broke when the supercharger was installed but can’t say for sure. No lights going off since I fixed the wire. So didn’t need all the SAIS parts replaced but its 11 years old so maybe it need replacement soon anyway lol. Thanks for the help and responses to my post.

I was getting P430 code initially. I replaced secondary air pump with cheap Taiwan to troubleshoot and got a different code that I don't remember now. Reinstalled the original 200k+ back on my 2013 and now I get a P2443 air valve stuck bank 2. I assume the EGR switching valve. Usually only at first start up in the morning and if warmer, not all. Apparently everything starts at $200 now and I want to throw the correct OEM parts after some experimentation. My cousin bought an O2 AIR pump delete for his Tacoma. I might install straight pipe in place of cats, but I don't to alter a good thing to much. I started cleaning my throttle body with Seafoam TB spray, Duralube catalytic converter fuel additive is ready good. You may or may not be surprised out dirty 4.0 gets. Seafoam is the best I have used as directed. It will smoke like a trash fire. I will check wires.
