Hello. I'm replacing the rack on my 2000 2wd and I did both lines at the same time. Now I don't know which port is high pressure and which is return. The pictures in the Chilton manual don't look the same as my rack, so I don't trust it.

I took the old rack back with all the fittings and bushings on it, so I don't have it for reference. I'm a terrible mechanic.

Could someone just take a quick peek under their 4runner and verify which one is which? Thanks a million.

You’re not a terrible mechanic. I give you respect for doing it

Thank you. I appreciate it. It sure zaps your confidence quickly when you make a mistake. o_O

Hopefully someone will see this and feel like crawling on the driveway to do me a solid.

Don't know if this is against the rules, but I'm bumping the request. I'd love to get this buttoned up but I really can't afford to do it incorrectly.

Also, this is your friendly PSA reminder to NEVER EVER get rid of parts until the job is done. Many assemblies require parts be moved from the old assembly to the new one before installation. I have fished many a part from a trash can because I was too stupid to double check. I always make it a rule however to not take the trash out until the job is done though.

Yeah that's good advice. I happened to work for the parts place and I was just bringing the core back in so my boss could finish the paperwork out. I left the return fitting, the bushing, and the u-bracket with the bolt on it. I'm now struggling to figure out how to attach the return line because the threads are different from the first rack I had.
