Another hard day at the office!

 

I am a fishing nut. I live 6 miles from the ocean and 6 miles from the Everglades and fish both waters a lot.

 

Largest Wahoo I caught off Boynton Beach, 56lbs.

 

A few freshwater ones.

 

I just found a Water Scorpion have not seen one in years. A good sign for water quality.

 

Striper season starts tomorrow finally in the tributaries here.

 

Something snapped my 8lb liter on the FlyRod this morning so I switched to a 50lb liter.

My citation Brown Trout is done finally. Took over 14 months!
Its a custom mold they had to add to get the 15 7/8ths girth.
I got the citation by wieght. The state did not have a certified scale so it was wieghed at the post office. 6 pound 3.5 ounces.
I was going to get it done local but, I tried going there to drop off a deposit. Phone stopped working (GPS), and it was like 110 degrees. I went home and called Florida.

and its got "Flake" and clearcoat

It keeps getting Bigger! I see Bronze now too.

And it has individual scales, you can almost feel the texture.

Its butt is "pink"

Even signed with a serial number!

 

18 inch rainbow out of Horsetooth Reservoir the other day. He was nice and chunky. Just under 3 pounds. I owed my neighbor dinner. Now he's happy!

 

You can keep trout in the "Delayed Harvest" sections of stream tomorrow. They are artificial only catch-and-release otherwise. So, Im rollin at 3:30am!
