Trying to decide between a TRD premium or Limited. I really need a 360 camera. The Trd has that MTM and the limited has the panoramic. TRD is cheaper but is the camera less quality?

    Oooh look, another mod.....
The camera quality is utter shit, for all trim levels. All trim's get the same hardware & software. Seriously, it's like watching a 1980's video game. Remember Frogger? That's what it looks like to me.

Edit: I don't have the 360 camera in my 4Runner, but I had it in my 2021 Tacoma. The hardware/software is the same.

This is what it looks like.

Well that’s disappointing. Do you know of the cameras on other companies are equally as bad - Honda etc

I have no clue about the camera quality for other cars; but from YouTube car reviews I have seen, everyone has a better MTM system than the 5th Gen 4Runner. I know the newer Toyota's (the ones with the new large infotainment system) have improved camera quality.

I did a really long detailed thread about this on the other forum. Its long, but detailed in how i pulled a work-around to get the camera to look better on the screen. Yes its the software they use to "view" the cameras, it splits the cameras down into 2004 cell phone camera quality. Honestly my 2005 Nokia 6255i had a 2mp camera and did WAAYYYY better than these cameras on the new 4Runners.

If you get a rear view camera only, the clarity is pretty good.
If you get the MTM / 360 camera the clarity is utter shit. My recommendation, DO NOT get the technology package that includes the 360 camera system, just get the standard rear view camera only and then install the Anytime camera for your front view. The clarity will be WORLDS better than the OEM 360 camera systems.

Yeah that MTM view to the front is some serious 19th century County Cork potato level stuff. I skipped that on mine when I bought my 5th gen.
