Once you've spent more time on this forum, you'll realize there are quite a few members who wouldn't darken the doorway of ANY dealership for routine service after discovering similar (or worse) screw ups during previous visits. There's some on here that have a dealership they trust, but they're few and far between.

Stripped, broken, or missing skid plate bolts, over torqued filter housing and/or oil pan drain bolts, etc. I once got a Tacoma back from a service visit minus the engine skid...

I've read more than once that the oil pan access cover, you show hanging by one bolt, was nowhere in sight upon later inspection.

Very nice bumper, indeed. Some questions - do you think it will work with other aftermarket engine skids? Do the bottom corners on each side tie in to the plastic bumper cover at all with some sort of attachment bracket, like shown near the end of the video in this link?

Not sure if it’ll work with other aftermarket skid plates but it does line up nicely with RCI’s skids, as seen here..
    IMG_7682.jpg IMG_7681.jpg

Yes, the RCI bumper does come with two attachment brackets (w/hardware) that mounts the plastic bottom corners of each side, see red arrow..

Is this dealer start with M? if so this all makes sense.

You should look at ATLR, Toy Shop, Japanese Auto Service for service/maintenance.
For upgrades Mountain Yotas, Toy crawlers, Tru.

No this one is actually a dealership that has two locations not north or south haha. I’ve heard good things about Japanese Auto Service I might try them next. Thank you!

    Oooh look, another mod.....

Damn. After seeing your first post I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Because we all make mistakes. Then I read this ^^^. They thought your fluid film was an oil leak? Damn. That's less than a rookie move. That's gross incompetence.

Please write a very honest and detailed review stating that very thing. Don't cuss them out or call them idiots, but post about what they did. Others will read it and realize how inept the employees at that dealership are.

^^^ I don't use tire shine as it has a tendency to sling off, but curious as to what ceramic product you used on the wheels. Thanks.

Never had the tire shine on the side of the truck, wipe most of it off. Turtle Wax.

I have dash cams in all of my vehicles. I dropped my Tacoma off at Weiss Toyota in St. Louis. When I picked it up and it was pulling to the left, pulled the SD card and watched the truck go in and out of the shop, then the tech takes it down an alley with potholes and speed bumps. My cam saves in 1 minute increments, you see the truck turn down the alley, hear the tech floor it , hit the first speed bump and then the video is erased until I pick it up. The dealer said he wasn't smart enough to erase the video and that he did nothing wrong, they did offer me an alignment. I show the video to everyone .

    Fluid week
    N already a rough start
Just posted in other thread but figured more the merrier…

dunno if this would fit, available on eBay as well
    https://www.kaon.com.au/front-diff-fill-plug-to-suit-toyota

I also am looking at the Lexus plug
    PN# lexus 90341-24016

the Aussie one is hardened steel n I’m waaaay over the soft metal shit like the oil filter, so Toyota/lexus is last place kinda deal

was able to do my rear easy per usual but the front diff drain finally died, or started to

gonna have to use an extractor I suppose but was worried bout replacement

this seems “legit” but stainless is pretty soft as well
    https://a.co/d/ddL6PoO

    ^link to a plug option^

    any thoughts?
    Hopefully thanks in advance

I don’t not agree with you.
I periodically spray ff under my KDSS skids and the hose connections down the line, and the monkey at the dealership started telling me KDSS is leaking. I said that’s fluid film bud.

I got my rear differential breather and rear locker actuator breather installed to go along with my snorkel, I installed last weekend. Pretty simple installation over all. I ordered a cooper-Nickle plated 5/16 push to connect T-fitting and had some old rubber hose laying around that fit the outside diameter of both the new breather line and old actuator breather line to couple them together. Left some extra line partially rolled up near the differential to take into account axle dropIMG_7773.jpg IMG_7776.jpg IMG_7775.jpg

Thank you. Seeing the back edge of the bumper, I imagine it would work fine with the Talons engine skid, as the front edge of the Talons skid looks very similar to your RCI.
