Just saw a video on Facebook about a piece of foam under the condensor

    I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this before, already taken it out and would like to hear your thoughts before i make a decision. Thank you for your time

    Keep in mind they submerge their vehicle often for videos. So the average 4Runner isn’t going to be like that.

    Thank you Thomas, that makes sense. My thoughts and they’re just mine. That’s armoflex insulation, that’s the trade name. Anyway that’s used on refrigeration lines. Seeing as that’s on the bottom of the condenser I’m assuming it’s there to prevent condensation ( also to insulate). I’m just not in a rush to remove it. I wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts to help me make up my mind

    Depends on your operating climate. Those who live in the rust belt have experienced serious rust on the frame crossover that the foam rests on.
