Hey guys, I have a problem.

    From inside the truck:

    - I cannot open/close the tailgate window
    - The rear wiper/washer doesn't work

From the outside (with my key):

    - I cannot open the tailgate
    - I CAN open/close the tailgate window

Looked in the fusebox under the hood and can't find anything related to rear wipers/tailgate. Any suggestions?

There’s the fuse box under the hood, and there’s a second fuse box under the dash in the drivers footwell, near the hood release. I have a 2010 wiring diagram, which is probably not 100% accurate for your 2019 Pro, but on that diagram there are multiple fuses involved, as well as a module called the Multiplex Network Door ECU. So when you’re poking around checking those fuses, also check any fuse that begins with IG or ECU.

Well, I went thru all the fuses under the hood and under the driver's side dash. Nada, no fuses burnt.

I checked again to see what works and what doesn't.

I can't: Open the rear window from inside the truck
    Open my tailgate at all
    Turn on my rear defroster
    Turn on my rear wiper/washer

I understand that there's a possibility that there's a wire broken in the harness between the tailgate and the truck, but I have trouble swallowing the concept that one wire would cause all my issues. One fuse, yeah, but not one broke wire.

Does anyone know what fuse specifically controls the items which I mentioned don't work?
Does anyone know if the tailgate inside panel can be removed with the tailgate closed?

When you could open the rear window with the key earlier, did you confirm that it was completely closed before trying to turn on the defroster and/or rear wiper? If it's open at all, even slightly, those don't work at all.

There has to be a way to open the back hatch without destroying something, it would seem...

You might try this to open the tailgate.

Well yeah it wouldn’t be one broken wire - more likely a connector that’s loose.

AWESOME, thanks. I've had that panel off so many times, even popped that little hatch the first time, thinking that I had to in order to remove the panel.
You can be sure that I'll be rigging up some sort of back-up pullcord which extends out the top of the panel for the next time.
