I like it. I think it will sell well based on how many people want mini trucks lately. Toyota’s Stout would be cool too.

If it comes out as promised I'm getting one. Though my money is on scope and feature creep such that by the time it actually gets delivered it will be more costly and more complex than what is promised here.

The business model seems to bank on making up the margins on the accessories and such. I hope they make it work.

I like that you don’t have to pay for features that you don’t want or need. That seems to be the complete opposite of what other manufacturers and dealers are doing. Maybe this truck will push Toyota to bring a version of this to the US.

Concept is interesting, I can see the aftermarket going nuts on this...but electric?? Comeon, slap a ZZ series 4 banger in that.

I would love that, being a big fan of the 1ZZs as work horses. Can't see that happening with CARB states and Newsom in particular wanting to kill everything not electric.

Trouble is when you buy a new vehicle it has to comply with CARB Rules, and when one moves to CA the initial registration requires one too. So getting one titled in California is the main hurdle, else we would already have hundreds of thousands of kei cars registered in counties with a few k residents. ROFL.

Of course this is 100% CA's intent using its size to bully car makers since no car makers can profitably market a model for sale in the US without complying with CARB rules on ICE and hybrid vehicles.

Looks like a mix of a Escape with an otterbox (Bronco Sport) and Maverick. People say they want basic but then they always end up wanting more. Neat idea but no thanks on the full EV.

There are 13 other states that follow CARB regs as well. Not just CA.

Did I ever say CARB is only enforced in CA?

Doesn't matter how you phrase it, it's CALIFORNIA Air Resource Board rules and California worked hard to convince other states to adopt it.

You think Mary Nichols and her ilk just sat around and wait for other states to adopt CARB?

If that's what you actually believe, no LOL needed, that's just sad.
