    We got a 2025 4Runner Sport.
    At the dealer they had trouble setting up remote connect.


    They were on accessory mode and tried to reset system settings. I had a Toyota account due to previous car. And so we scanned the VIN after resetting system but there was no code, kept saying something is wrong and to contact dealer.


    Is there a way to fix

    The electronics guru from the dealership 'tried' to connect us when we got our 4Runner.... fail for a half hour. We sat in our driveway at home and got it in about half the time. I know we read the owners manual and supplied paperwork carefully, but honestly I think we got lucky. That's just how it happened for us. Now we rarely use it. I wish I could help, but I think for us it was more luck for us. The guy from the dealership that tried to install ours works at Subway now.

    When I took delivery of mine (5th Gen) the sales person brought out a young man (looked about 14 years old) and took him about 10 minutes to set it all up and connect with/my phone. When done I think they put him back in the "Tech person bullpen" LOL....

    That being said, if this dealer cannot get you connected I'd check with the Service Company (ATT) their number is: 866-706-5773 and see if they can help or try another dealer if you can find one close by...

    After resetting the system select "reload" or "download" apps (don't remember the exact verbiage) and try after that to see if that fixes the issue. I had a similar issues when I took delivery of mine and the salesperson had to go get a service writer to fix it. Pretty sure that's what they did but not 100%.
