    Hi All,

I recently purchased a 2023 Trd off-road premium and I have, what I think is excessive wind noise after I hit 45 mph coming from the windscreen. It only gets worse as I go faster. Is this common? I owned a 2020, and this wasn’t an issue.

the dealership has resealed my windshield twice after replacing the original. I’m just sick of playing my radio louder so I don’t hear it. Thank you!

Are you sure it's coming from the windshield? What type of tires do you have on it? Aggressive off road tires can make a lot of noise. Just a thought. Good luck

Stock tires. The noise is coming from the windshield. Even when it isn’t windy out, it sounds as if it’s about a 30 mph wind.

What kind of car did you drive previously?

The 4Runner isn't exactly the quietest vehicle.

    No roof rack?

I had a sedan, but previously had a 2020 Trd off road and didn’t notice the pronouncedwind noise. I do not have a roof rack. I guess I’ll try to find some other 4runners to ride in to see if they have the same issue.

I have a similar problem with my Arnage. I presume there's a slight break in the windshield molding. If you go over 90 it emits a high pitched whistle from the top of the windshield. Faster = louder.

Not that I'm trying to drive that fast in that car regularly but it is nice to open up that TT 6.75 V8 occasionally and feel that Cummins like torque on tap. So basically it doesn't bother me that much but when it does BOY is it a pain in the ass.

Just throwing ideas out there at this point but in our GMT800 Suburban the D/S weatherstripping is compromised. When the wind hits it just right it's kind of hard to tell where it's coming from.

Barring something like that it's got to be an innate characteristic of the vehicle. Might not be a bad idea to test drive another of the same year and trim.

Some of the 2nd Gen Tacomas had a horrible whistle when driving over 65 in a heavy crosswind. It was the rubber door gasket. The solution was to add some 3/8 "tubing to 'swell' the gasket. Actually worked pretty well.

I’m wondering if adding some painter’s tape over some seams could help narrow it down?
