Hi everyone, in September of 2018, my wife's 4Runner had issues starting. Around this time, I plugged in a Gentex Homelink mirror that came on the vehicle when we bought it (104,000 miles). After it didn't start the 1st time, she took it to O'Reily Auto parts and they tested it and came back with a bad alternator.

Okay, I replaced the alternator no problem and the vehicle ran great for 3 weeks. After that, it did the same thing. This time I took it to Advance Auto and they tested it. Bad battery. Replaced that. Ran great for 3 weeks and wouldn't start again. Figured it had to be the starter this time. Replaced that. Ran great for 3 weeks until Christmas. Had a mechanic in east TN check it over and they didn't find anything. Fast forward to today, won't start. Only this time, it won't make any noise.

Turn the key, all lights, radio, everything works. My wife drove it to the grocery store, parked and came back. Wouldn't start. I went to it a few hours later; fired right up multiple times. She comes back to it 1.5 hours later after work; nothing.

WTF?!?!?! I can't deal with it anymore. $600+ later and still isn't fixed.

I do most of the maintenance on it (oil changes, tire rotations, spark plugs, etc.) and all of that is current.

I recently got code P0345 on my ultraguage but that was only this evening.

Any ideas? At all? I can go back to it tomorrow and it'll start just fine

Turns out the starter I replaced was faulty from advance auto to start with. Had it replaced and everything is good to go :frustrated:
