Hello guys! Does anyone knows what size is this bolt right here? I went to Valvoline for an oil change and when I got home I went underneath just to check if there’s any leak, that’s when I noticed that I’m missing a bolt that goes on the back of my trd skid plate. It’s a short bolt.

Did you go back and get your bolt and make that your last visit there?

If they can't remember to put a bolt in, what else...........................?

    That's a M10 x 1.25 mm Thread

Order the bolt kit from Toyota since they will probably forget to put another one in later.

I can’t think of a single owner on this thread who took their runner to a commercial business for an oil change that hasn’t experienced a skid plate bolt issue, myself included. A couple of my skid plate bolts were stripped and they forgot the oil drain cover plate during the final free oil change at the dealership. A big contributing factor in my opinion is their insistence on using an impact gun. Welcome to the club. ;)

Yes I went back and they can’t find it! So what they did is they put a bolt that is the exact diameter or size of the thread but a smaller head. But when I got home I removed it, so my skid plate only has 3 bolts right now (which should be fine). I usually do my oil change but since I just got back from a trip I feel lazy to be honest to do it. That M10 that’s the stock bolt right? Because when I bought my trd skid plate it came with 4 long bolts. I only used 2 because the other 2 needs shorter bolts so I removed that bolts that I showed in the picture

At least they dropped the skid plate. I had the dealership just deciding to not replace the filter. The other thing they’re notorious for is cross threading the bolts

Thanks to so many on this forum, I heeded their advice and do my own general maintenance, avoiding the 'free oil changes' attached to the new vehicle purchase. You may not agree with the brands or methodologies he uses, but the general info is valuable. I addition, there are numerous other threads with great pdf's on torque settings, fluid amounts, etc. Good luck!
