Sticky shift

Shifter seems to be sticky when i try to put in Drive few lights came on the dash while I was driving too. Any ideas what it could be?

 

I would read codes with ODBII reader to say for sure but from what you say it looks like it might be Neutral Sensor Switch (code P0705). That switch is sitting on transmission and after 6-7 years rust caused it start slwoly dying and it needs to be replaced eventually.

Mine does this occasionally, so far lubricating the linkage helps resolve it. I know the long term fix is to replace the switch.

Anecdotally, it seems to do it after significant rains or hitting large puddles at speed.
