So only 30-ish more years to go. Hang in there and keep plugging and enjoy because once you get there it seems shockingly fast in hindsight.

I retired 10 years ago as a High School Teacher. I ran a computer lab at my last position in an inner city school that I actually graduated from. Mixed ethnic student body. I had "street cred" because I grew up in that neighborhood.

I bought one of those electronic Fart Machines with a remote. I used to hide it underneath the student desks in the computer lab and I would set it off now and then. You should have seen the looks on the kids faces trying to figure out who farted. I would almost shit myself holding back laughter!

Years ago we had a guy in our unit bring one in and hide it in our report room before report out. The person on the hot seat turned out to be this cute little gal that recently immigrated from Ukraine that looked like a ballerina. Of course that didn't stop James from his shenanigans and once the uproar subsided she just shook her head and said "Americans have too much money". It still makes me chuckle.

I’m 60. This is my first 4R, I bought it March 30 2024 so dang near 1 year ago. I’ve owned a Tundra since 2003 and it has been the most reliable vehicle of my life, which is why I bought another Toyota. I chose 5th gen rather than waiting for 6th because I wanted a proven reliable vehicle to get me through my final years.

I feel 35, does that count? Actual age is coming up on 65. But we're all rookies compared to this guy. I feel for him b/c he's trying to sell his 4R and travel trailer b/c "...I just completed hernia surgery and now, I am facing cataract surgery and an unclear path for Summer travel at age 84." Tooling around in a 'Runner and a Lance at 84.

71 here with 72 creeping around the corner. A Tacoma Truck has been in my stable for over 20 years, May will make 1 year for my still new 4Runner. About to embark on 25 day 3,200 RV trip. Yellowstone will be the highlight.

@NeverTooLate71, that will be a spectacular trip. Don’t miss Grand Teton NP - it’s right there and we enjoyed it as much as Yellowstone.

I was fixin to say the same thing about Teton. If you’re able to, get to Jenny Lake early and take the boat across to the trail to Hidden Falls. Then if you feel like a hike, keep going up to Inspiration Point and then into the canyon. Yellowstone is more of a drive-through park where Teton you can do as much hiking and climbing as you want.

We took a horseback ride in nearby Moran, WY, that was amazing. The views plus just a fun ride with a water crossing - it was like offroading on a horse!

A couple of "horsecam" shots (me trying to ride and shoot). Note dog at far left of the first one.

Greetings all, just "stumbled" upon this thread and happy to find a place where old folks are much like me gaining moree birthdays, but "not maturing" ;) 73 here and still enjoying doing my own maintenance and some mods as my body allows me to. Will be getting some replacement parts soon and hope to be doing a cross country road trip to see friend and family the end of this summer.

Agree the Tetons are glorious as is Yellowstone - ENJOY!

My wife and I are in the process of buying 10 acres to start a Christmas tree farm. Christmas trees take 7 years to mature and sell. Dawned on me that i will be 68 when that freaking happens.
