    Just curious if anyone knows what theyve done to the v8 thats in the more recent year lexus models..
    Specifically getting it to 300hp, vs our 260ish in 4th gen 4runners.

    It's the same engine. 05+ of all the models gets more power due to the VVT-i. The Lexus might claim more power since they usually require 91+ octane, while many Toyota models will accept 87 octane with the same engine.

    completely different motors, the 4th gen used the 4.7L 2UZ, the GX460 used the 1UR
