Has anyone done a mud flap delete on their 5th gen? I want to replace my OEM mud flaps with a delete kit, but I'm concerned doing so will cause a significant amount of mud build up and damage to the rear bumper. I take my 4R off-roading in East Tn roughly every two months. Anyone done this mod and had favorable/un-favorable results?

My Limited don't have mud flaps. With wider tires now even on pavement driving stuff pick up and hit on the sides and see some paint damage spots.

I did the Ark mud flap delete and it's a quality product. I also have the 80% off road bash bar. Cutting the bumper high clearance caused an unintentional consequence of mud packing up there.

I used ABS plastic to seal it off and works great. May be a non-issue with stock bumper.

i did it and it was a very easy install and no issues at all. We off road in our 2022 and no issues with mud or anything else getting behind it. Id send you pictures but right now my rig is at the dealership for a needle bearing

Don’t plan on putting the OEM back on.

Kings, Crestone Rack, Baja S8, Baja Fogs, Baja XL80s, Baja mini cubes, SPOD, ARB compressor, RCI full skids, ROAM box and stuff. ST Pros. Shrockworks sliders... GOAT armour

I had the same on my limited. Made a huge mess. You can get a universal mudflap on Amazon that fits fine looks close to stock and doesnt hang to low

I did it, ran it for a few years. No damage to the bumper in normal road use but you will fling a lot of road debris directly onto to your bumper which will eventually take a toll.

For offroading, it should be more beneficial than having one.

I did this on mine, and at the time, had 285/70/17 on. It worked pretty well and was simple enough. Some low profile aftermarket replacements can be found online but I never tried any them.
