    Hi all,

I purchased Bilstein 5100 front and rear and the OME 2895 2 inch rear coils.
I intended on lifting the front 2.5 inches, with the rear 2 with the hopes of being close to level.

should I have gone with 1.5 inch rears?

You will have a very slight rake forward. Half an inch however isn't much rake at all and can be beneficial for carrying cargo/passengers (rake helps with excessive squat) and milage (keeping factory rake keeps air traveling over rather than under the vehicle). The 4Runner is a brick so the aero benefit is pretty small.

Besides that, personally I think a little rake looks good. I'm sitting at 2" front lift and 2" rear. The standard 3" front 1" rear that most other do looks good too, but it's all subjective.

I have mine lifted 2.75” front, 1” rear and it sits level.

Welcome from Wisconsin! We went with 3"F/2"R, there's a bit too much in the rear to call it level, when we have a load of groceries it's level, pulling a small trl., level. So looking to our suspension change, the next setup is 2.75" front/ 1.5" rear. You'll be pretty close to level, sounds like a good setup.

How much rake do you currently have? My 21' TRD offroad had over 2" of rake so my answer is you will not be level. I put Dobinson 505 springs in my rear suspension and they ended up giving me 2 3/8" of lift, not the advertised 1.75" -2". So, there is the variable of advertised lift vs actual lift that you may encounter. In my case, I wasn't going for level, but just wanted to point out that it may not be as "cut and dry" as you may hope.

The rake is there because the variable weight is in the back. Without it, a loaded vehicle will sag in the back.

The neat thing about 5100s that nobody has mentioned is that they are height adjustable. You should be able to get very close to level. Hell, go full squat if you want! (Don't be an idiot)

You're not referring to the rear shocks, right? They are not height adjustable, only the front. I assume you mean you can adjust the front to "fix" the rake.

I meant the front. Assumed that was understood when talking about 5100s.
