4 Runner Lifestyles Stealth Grill install

I tried to install this on my 2024 TRD based on a video I received from 4 Runner Lifestyles. The video was simple, however, I found that my the stock grill is attached to the toyota emblem which is attached to the grill body. I did not find a way to unattach the emblem and cannot find anyone who knows if this grill is different than previous model and what needs to be done to allow the change in grills. Any ideas?

 

I'm not exactly sure what a "Stealth Grille" from 4Runner Lifestyles is, but if it's one of the Pro type grilles where you replace the upper grille with a mesh type, an put a cover over the center section with T O Y O T A letters, I'd wager there's at least two dozen different YouTube videos detailing the procedure from start to finish.

The entire upper grille section is removed. You don't have to remove the emblem separately, it comes off with the upper section, which is attached with clips and a bolt in the middle.

Welcome. I have the stealth grill also. Do you mean you don't have both pieces. You should have the black overlay center piece and also the upper grill without the Toyota emblem to replace also.

Or are you trying to replace the stock grill and can find how to remove it? Which is just the screws on the back side of it with a few push tabs. After you remove it from the truck first. The replacement grill will not have an emblem.

 

I installed one of their grills on my 21 TRDORP without any issues.
2 pieces are required.

I replaced mine as well.....I'm going to guess the OP's issue is the fact that you have to really use some force to pop the top clips loose on that upper grill section.... It's a little unnerving the first time you do it. It definitely feels like you are going to break something.

 

Yeah, I appreciate it. The grill on my 2024 has the emblem attached to the top and the middle of the grill body. the top piece came off but it wouldn't come because the emblem has some attachments to the middle. Not sure why but I need to go to toyota parts to see why its different.

 

The piece outlined in yellow below, with the grille emblem attached to it, comes off in one piece, by removing one bolt behind it, and several clips where it attaches to the front grille surround.


The emblem attaches to that piece, without being attached to any other part of the 4R.
