I am in the market for a pre-owned TRD Pro. What years represent the best quality price ratio? I am a cash buyer and planning to own for 10yrs plus. Low milage driver in Miami, max 7000 per year. Basically looking to avoid making stupid mistakes and identifying the most suitable options for my driver profile.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

First of all the first rule should score well in the pre-purchase inspection.

Secondly in my opinion specifically looking for TRD Pro you should be look at features.
    • Do you want moon roof or not. (those who love no moon roof can look for older TRD Pros).
    • Do you want automatic headlights,
    • JBL sound system or regular sound system as base models
    • TRD Pro special roof rack (older ones have regular roof rails),
    • Are you ok with louder TRD exhaust vs quieter exhaust.
    • Do you want 360 camera, blind spot monitoring
    • Do you want LED head lights and fogs / halogen headlights with led fogs / halogen headlights with halogen fogs.
    • Do you want Bilstien shocks or Fox suspension.
    • Do you want turn signal indicators on side mirrors?
    • Sliding cargo tray?
    • Remote start
These are few point comes in to my mind.

There is no “best” ratio. It’s a sliding scale.

Think about what you want, from year to year there are feature differences and to complicate it there is condition, service history, etc.

2019 and earlier don’t have the extra adaptive cruise/lane alerting/auto braking bits, later years have LED headlights, etc.

Also each year has some exclusive TRD Pro color that may or may not have made it to lower trims after.

Forget adaptive cruise/lane alerting/auto braking bits, 2018 TRD Pros has no moonroof, no jbl sound, no dual automatic climate control, turn signal indicators on mirrors, no lock-unlock / glass up-down buttons on hatch,....

Agree with @kmeeg Be aware of the model year changes. ie. 360 cam, blind spot monitoring, led low/high, chrome vs black fog lights, adaptive cruise control, heated steering wheel, automatic headlight sensor, new vs old Pro wheels, Jbl sound... etc. Not all year TRD PROs are exactly the same. Also, 2021 (I even had it on my 22, PRO Fox shocks had a TSB out for knocking noise going over uneven road/bumps, be on the look out for that when shopping. Best of luck!

Even though these trucks are old designs, a lot of small changes have been made, especially between the 20-24 model years.

    Welcome!

No matter what the year is, condition is paramount. Check the frame for any rust, check the Carfax, and have a qualified tech inspect the car “BEFORE” you buy it
