Hey everyone. I just picked up a 1987 SR5 w/ 22R-E, 4x4, 5 speed MT, 140k on the clock and zero rust. No pics on hand at the moment unfortunately but I can rectify that tomorrow. Got her for a swan song as it technically is a no-crank/no-start ATM. Engine turned over by hand easily though and truck allegedly ran when parked. I highly suspect it's the aftermarket security system disabling the starrer. Got a guy who's going to sort that for me tomorrow.

At any rate, the plan for this truck is to restore her being as meticulous as possible, enjoy that Marty Mcfly swag for a little bit then flip on BaT. My previous experience with car restoration was a pricey endeavor. However, I now have a buddy who is great with paint and an upholstery guy who does killer work for shockingly low prices. So on the two most expensive items I'm in a good position.

All that said, I was hoping the forum here could offer a bit of guidance before I'm elbow deep. Have a couple of questions and then if anyone has general N60 advice it would be greatly appreciated!

First, I'm wondering if there are any features or details that are considered particularly desirable that we could add or change. Thinking like interior colors, options packages, specific wheels people love, that sort of thing. Second, what are some things that are notorious for going bad that I either need to fix or should preemptively replace and document? Lastly, are there any sort of OEM+ upgrades (audio, dynamat, etc) that people in this community particularly appreciate and would be considered part of a quality restoration?

    Thanks in advance all!
