I am close to finalizing a purchase of a 2021 TRD Pro in Lunar Rock.
I am a little cautious of the price $39k with 120k miles.

I am coming from a Honda Civic with almost 300k miles so I know that a good car will last, but the price seems a little high for the mileage... any thoughts? I know the color is kinda rare but I fell in love with the color.
Main reason for upgrade (besides that my Civic transmission is about to go) is I need a bigger car and more storage for work purposes. I need ability to pull a small trailer.
Also we do a lot of outdoor summer activities (Surfing, kayaking, biking).

Just looking for confirmation from other 4 runner owners that this price isn't too ridiculous. Getting cold feet!

    Thanks!

    Oooh look, another mod.....
Don't do it Kristie. Committing just for looks will only get you a broken heart in the long run! Sure, she's pretty on the outside, but she's been aroooooooooooooooooooound the block a lot. Know what I mean? You don't know of those are all highway miles or if she was used and abused.

Okay, but seriously...that is kind of a high price just for Lunar Rock. You can find an Off Road Premium (same year and probably color) with way less miles for the same money. Don't buy just for looks or the first one you see. Shop around, expand your search area and consider other colors.

The SloRunners will only tow up to 5k pounds. Most small trailers-pop-up's are well under the weight limit.

That price seems way too high for that many miles.

I wouldn’t buy anything with that much mileage for any price. Who knows how well the previous owner took care of it.

Insurance companies figure the average Americans drive apx. 12,000 miles per year, that’s 48,000 miles +/- for the vehicle you’re considering. At 120,000, that’s 30,000 per year, more than double the national average. I back into used car purchases by limiting my search to 30,000 miles and in your case the specific color, Lunar Rock. @Borracho Loco is right by saying look for the TRD ORP in Lunar Rock with lower miles, along with a similar or lower price tag. You could find one with KDSS that isn’t available on any of the other models of 4Runner. There out there, keep looking, FB marketplace, Craigslist, Truck trader, Carvana, Carmax or Cargurus for example. Good luck and welcome to the forum!

I have been looking for several months! Lunar Rock is really hard to find!
And the prices are far more for less miles, so I wasn't sure how normal this is

    Welcome.

It sounds like you’re making your purchase decision based on need, desperation, FOMO, etc. The deal is only as good as you see it. With 120k miles, the 4Runner will need all maintenance brought up to date. Lunar Rock is not a rare color, just a color that most owners are holding onto, hence less in the marketplace. You could get a newer 4Runner with 1/3 the miles for the same price.

Good luck on your search or purchase.

    Boston area!

It is from a dealer that sold the car originally, and has a detailed service report of all the maintenance done with them...
For example oil changed almost monthly or every other month- tires rotated, etc.
