Hey guys, new to the forum!

I have a '19 4runner TRD Pro with 87,000km. I bought it used within this last year and the previous owner had the Magnuson supercharger installed by a licensed Toyota tech. I've recently started hearing a rattle when the car was idling and figured maybe heat shield or pulley. Brought it to my Toyota garage and they're saying the noise is from the supercharger and potentially the bearing. The tech had already removed the belt from the pulley but the noise remains which deepens the suspicion of it being the bearing. I am wondering if anyone here has encountered this or heard of this and may have some advice?

    Thanks!

Check the tensioners and the pulleys where Maggie is running off. I think that's the issue. I replaced that piece a few months ago and don't hear anything. There is a video online by the guys to the Dirt crew that shows how this was done. I did it myself with some neighbor help, so if I did it, I'm sure you can too.
