    Hello,
We have 2015 4Runner first owners always do the services when is the time.
Here is the story. The vehicle does not crank the ingine and the power dies. Vehicle was taken to a Toyota service and no diagnostic but they have found if that the vehicle does not crank the ingene open the hood and slam it and works. At this point I am not sure if the problem is electronic or mechanical as no diagnostic has been provided. It has been 8 weeks with this issue. Does any of you experiance something like this with your 4 Runner.

Welcome OP to the forum and you might need to edit this title quickly before you end up with a pyschiatrist as these guys will tease you to no end. And then your head will not crank at all either.

It is very hard to diagnose intermittent no-crank condition over internet, but if slamming the hood resolves it, it is almost certainly a loose connection somewhere.

My suggestions is to NOT take your truck to Toyota dealer, they will charge you more and needlessly replace parts. Instead, find a reputable independent mechanic in your area and get them to fix this. Be prepared for your bill to be mostly diagnostic - it may take hours to find the issue, where mechanic would be tracing connections and wires with a voltmeter.

Some easy DIY things to try:

    1. Take wire brush and clean inside battery contacts. Watch YT video on how to do it safely.
    2. Take a look at starter wire, see if it corroded or loose.

Yup. Loose connection or corrosion somewhere. Start with the battery, move on to the starter. Betcha find a bad connection or corrosion.

I would go purchase new battery cables, take out battery and replace cables. And clean off engine grounds, all of them. See if there are any loose grounds. Make sure that the battery cables are the same gauge wires as OEM.

besides the the cables and cleaning them up,
Do you hear your fuel pump kick on?

If a Toyota service center says slam the hood to get it working again, run fast and far and don't look back. Find a real shop.

^Yet every experienced aviation mechanic carries a plastic hammer for "percussive maintenance"

Jokes aside, @FRivas could have a loose/corroded/broken body ground wire on the inner fender right next to the battery. It's closest to the hood bumpers to receive shock from slamming the hood.
