Someone hit my side mirror. It cracked and fell off. I bought and installed a new one but I am not sure what the orientation should be for the electrical connector for the heater. Both wires are black and it looks like it can plug in to the mirror either way. Is there a correct orientation? It’s hard to test if it is working in this warm weather we are having.

Either way should be fine, it’s just a heating element in the mirror.

I was more wondering if it will fall out/disconnect if it is installed the wrong way or isn’t properly seated.
