Our 2003 shut down completely after a couple of weeks of issues.....It first started with not being able to get it properly into 4WD LO. The lights would always flash, and not go into LO. Occasionally, it would make a 'grinding' noise when it would finally go in, but then worked fine. The transmission itself, seemed to be working fine in HI, but we live in a high-snow area, so frequently needed that LO for travel. The last straw was when I switched it to LO, it finally engaged but I could never get it to disengage. I tried the stopping, backing, switching from HI to LO, then starting all over again, but it wouldn't disengage. Driving it home slowly from the shop down the road, the entire thing just quit working abruptly...no pull at all. No reverse or forward gears at all. I assuming it could be one, or all of the tranny, actuator or transfer case. Which would be the best guess at this point to start. I live in a remote area where working on this vehicle is not an option for me to carry it to a shop...they have no idea! We've always had and worked on our Yoyo's ourselves, but this type of 4WD application is a different creature for us....HELP!?
    Thanks!

Guessing the transfer case or transfer case actuator. The lever-operated version of the transfer case has a neutral position, so I imagine it's possible for the electronically-operated version to be stuck there in a malfunction.
