Hey all! I’ve got about 56k on my original pads and want to be proactive about getting the best brake pad from parts. I guess my questions are as follows:

    A) I want to order pads from parts and have them shipped directly to the dealer since I’ve got $25 off a set of new pads in my Apple wallet. Cost shown for a set of rears is $50.15 which isn’t bad IMO…and want to trim as much cost off as possible. Has anyone done this before/is it difficult/does dealership resist???

    B) I’m coming up in replacing my OEM tires as well and want to put something slightly higher profile like and AT but nothing crazy as I don’t have any mods or lifts. What’s the best tire out there for my dollar and have any owners out there had any experience buying from Costco???

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer or offer any insight!

If you want a slightly taller tire, look at the 255/75-17 size. It's about 1/2 in taller than the factory tire, but a little bit narrower.

As far as buying brake pads and having them shipped to the dealer, I would check with your chosen dealer first. I wouldn't think a dealer would be too keen on installing customer supplied parts.

What's this "parts" source you are referring to?

OEM rotors and pads work well. Akebono makes the pads.

From what I’ve heard the only issue with Costco is that they will not upsize from OEM size.
