What are the common causes for clunking in the front end when turning?

It's a 2020 SR5 2wd with just under 21K miles. Stock tire size Toyo AT3 on a 0 offset wheel. It has a full set of CBI skid plates installed.

Upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, shock/strut bushings, steering rack bushings, upper/lower control arm bushings. Can you post a video of said clunking? That would help.

It's intermittent which is weird. I will put a wrench on that stuff and see if i find anything but it's definitely low mileage to have anything worn. I'll try to get a video or audio clip this week.

If it were me, I would find a friend to help. Put the front end up on jack stands and try to replicate the clunking while you or your friend lie underneath the vehicle and look/listen for anything weird while going full lock left and right. Just be sure to chock the rear wheels, parking brake on, and for sure don't put it in gear. I suspect the steering gear bushings. You will see movement if they're bad. There should be none.

You can't turn the wheels on the 2020 and newer while it's on jacks with the engine running and no load. The TSS system will go haywire and give errors.

Can you be a bit more descriptive when the clunking happens?

First thing to check before digging in, is going over every aftermarket part or mod. Check the wheels, check the tightness of bolts for the skid plates. Do you have a lift?
