Jk...but there is a kit already out to black out TRD Off Road rims. Good thing that SR5 will not need this kit..lol

the Toyota design team just can't pass up an opportunity to introduce chrome where it shouldn't be... inside or outside the vehicle

I'm not a fan of black wheels. Reminds me of a hubcap missing...lol

    Oooh look, another mod.....

I kind of agree with your statement, but that isn't chrome. It's a "Machined Finish". That's a silver-gray tone and matte finish. Chrome is a bright silver and VERY shiny. I like the wheels like that, sort of.

I'm also not a fan of black wheels so I prefer those with the machined finish ring.

That silver ring looks so stupid. It’s akin to those wrangler angry grills

I think that the TRD wheels look great in black, but the weight savings is the big selling point for me. As for the “accented” TRD wheels, I feel that they are better suited to 4Runners that get mostly road use.

I think the Toyota truck design team can't pass up an opportunity to hit the crack pipe. Every single thing they've come out with has been hideous.

There is always this. I am convinced the Toyota design team are actively trying to see how far they can go and still have buyers stepping over each other paying a markup for the privilege of signing up for one.
