What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

For sure. Had I not been in such a hurry to leave the dealernid have got them to swap me rubber for carpet. They’ve done so with no problem the last few trucks I bought there

 

Did it not say ~$225 on the window sticker for rubber mats? That was the case for many of the trucks I looked at.

 

How do you like the mirror swap? Is it worth doing for $110?

 

What's the BS on the OEM wheels? You saw my pictures, with 17x8 and 4.5" BS and a 295 I had no rubbing. You're 17x7 which changes things and of course whatever your BS is will also change things.

 

Are you happy with the mirror swap? Is it effective? Does the smaller mirror pivot or is it fixed?

I did the same swap and for me it was well worth it. Saved me a couple of times already.

 

I believe they are also 4.5" backspacing. But 1" narrower, of course. This is a hard nut ffor me to crack without just trying it.

 

I did a quick google search and you're correct. 17x7 with 4.5" BS and +4 offset. What tires are you looking at running?

Installed my Baja Designs foglights...these things are amazing!!

 

They look more yellow than amber.. is that a correct judgement ?? I like the yellow look more than amber.

 

It is a mini LED panel, just happens to be a little warmer light than my other LEDs unfortunately

 

This is my 3rd vehicle doing this swap, I do like it and find them very useful. The small mirror is fixed.

 

Does the heated portion of the mirror include the small mirror?

 

I been hitting others up about this buyt might as well post here. Has anyone taken a look or purchased these Black Tail Lights for the 5th gen 4runner? Any feedback or if you guys got a review thread, etc, post it so I can take a look to jump on these. lmk thanks!

I had BSMs in my Tacoma and became pretty reliant on them, so looking at the mirror became muscle memory. Worth $110? I like that it looks factory and didn’t find a stick on mirror that worked for me, so for me it was worth it. But I get that you can buy a stick on for significantly less.

 

Yes it does heat the entire mirror including the small

 

Got my Nitto Terra Grappler G2s installed. Actually did it on New Years Day. The local NTB had a buy 3 get one free deal.

 

Is the RAV4 mirror an EXACT match to the size/dimensions of the 4runner Mirror? Aside from the addition of the BSM, of course.

Just installed my Headlight Light Revolution Super Nova V.4 High and Low Beam LED’s to go with the fog swap I did. I managed to shove all that wiring and driver into the Low beam and get the cover back on I’m a bit worried about the fan on the LED so I’ll keep a eye on it. The only issue I have is they sent a PWM Module for the High Beam for the DRL’s to work properly. The connection to the factory wire harness seems like it could go on both ways and has a + - on it so I worry about polarity. Other than that the install was fairly easy though the battery made it a little tight to maneuver.

 

This isn’t my picture, but the same exact lights. They are very much a soft yellow. I couldn’t be happier with them.

 

Can you actually use those as fogs without affecting oncoming drivers?
