We got in to our first 4 runner late August 2018. So far we're loving the vehicle and this is the second Toyota vehicle that I've owned. My first was a 1989 Tacoma SR5 V6 2WD, extra-cab.

We've had a few hiccups with this 4runner so far. The vehicle has had the head unit replaced once as it keeps rebooting. Funny enough the vehicle is back to the dealership today for it's first service, in addition to the fog lights stopped working before Christmas AND now the head unit is rebooting constantly so... dealership is ordering another head unit.

We've had our first major snowfall over the Christmas holidays and the tires that came on this 4runner are terrible. Bridgestone Dueller H/T 684II. So I'm starting to look for something better and have asked the dealership for an estimate. They're proposing Toyo Open Country ATII

Hopefully the fog lights and head unit issue will be resolved shortly. It's a bit frustrating spending 50K on a vehicle to have these small issues. Fingers crossed it all works out in the end.

Welcome from Colorado. I agree...sucks to have those issues so early on. Would like to hear what the dealership finds out on the fogs... I think the head units kinda suck and wouldn't mind replacing mine.... The Toyo's are great tires... definitely price them somewhere other than your dealership just to make sure.

The dealership said the fog lights were simply burned out. Which is strange that they both were out at the same time? Unless, I didn't notice them burning out individually. I'll keep an eye on things. As for the head unit, they're ordering a new replacement (this will be the second replacement).

definitely seems suspicious if both managed to burn out at the same time... seems like that would more likely be a fuse issue..? Hopefully this takes care of it for you :)

Both just happened to go at the same time?? Yeah right!! I'd run out and buy yourself a lottery ticket.

Sorry to hear all the issues you are having. I just had my head unit replaced also but i have had my 2018 4runner since April 2018 with no issues till now. After some trouble shooting seems to be my Iphone after i did the most recent ios update. The head unit just keeps rebooting. The only way I can get it to stop is to connect to Bluetooth and do not since my contacts. Works fine now, so I guess i have to wait till Apple comes out with a new update...not sure.
