Radio light flashing on and off

Hey all! My radio lights keep flashing on and off without any real rhyme or reason. The unit stays on and music is never interrupted, but the backlight keeps coming on and off. Any ideas? Video below

Loose connection somewhere for the backlights when headlights are on.

Gonna have to pull it and check the wires.

Might be a loose or partially broken 'Illumination' wire. On my 2000 Limited its a violet wire.
