Don't do it. We all know you have covers on your calipers.

If you do it and you like it hey good for you. Power to you. Glad you like it and you're making your car yours.

But it doesn't look good. I would never say this to someone who already has them on their car unless it was a friend's and family.

Caliper covers are stupid. You could pull the calipers off, have them professionally painted and reinstalled for the price of some stupid covers. Have I said that caliper covers are stupid?

Too poor to buy anything now
I had my Lamborghini wrapped in camouflage and now I can't find it.

Honestly, if you want your calipers a different color just paint them with high temp paint.

Look, I don't even consider something that changes the cosmetics a "mod". It's more just personal taste. I get that you want to make it yours and be different. It used to be that's why people got tattoos; to stand out. To be edgy. Now everyone has them and it's no longer edgy or cool. The 4Runner is very capable and good at what it does. I have added some "mods" to mine, like suspension, skid plates, roof rack and sliders. In the end it still looks like a 5th Gen 4Runner. There's lot's of them around. I have no interest in bringing unwanted attention to my vehicles. Maybe you do, maybe you don't. But the fact that you started this thread indicates that you do. And that's great! Have at it! My suggestion is to take all of that money that you would have spent on wraps, stupid caliper covers, and other cosmetic things, put it in the bank and save it for necessary maintenance. Your 4Runner will probably last you the rest of your life if it's properly cared for. Or, use it as a down payment on one in the color that you really want. Just my $.02.

Limited funds but a wrap and $200 caliper covers? Ok.

If you're on a budget, I would suggest that instead of blowing what little money you have on useless things like caliper covers, just keep saving till you can buy something more substantial and functional.

Modding just for the sake of modding is a waste of money.

Just when I thought I'd heard of every way to spend money for the sake of spending money on a 4Runner.

Enjoy having cash in the bank now that you aren't making payments. You will get used to it.

@BosFloGa dont listen to the naysayers. Do what you want and don’t be disheartened by the ornery among us. Lots of folks on here make purely cosmetic modifications to their vehicles.
    • New wheels
    • Chrome allergy
    • LED bulb swap
    • Gear shift knobs
    • Raptor lights
    • Heritage grill
    • side mirror signal chase lights
    • Fang lights
    • Wheel spacers
    • And the most ubiquitous: cutting your fender to fit 285 tires for the looks, because the extra ½” of ground clearance isn’t of much practical benefit.
You get those caliper covers if you like them. Just make sure you can return them in case they clash with your red 4Runner.

Imagine being so dumb that you think the primary benefit of going with 33s is the additional ground clearance.

This color could also be described as "heather". Every damn Tiffany or Heather I've ever met are CRAAAAAAZY!

What do you want to do? It's all up to what you want. Do you desperately want to do SOMETHING but not know what? Then take a step back and consider what's valuable for you. You don't NEED to do anything. You'd save a LOT of money leaving well enough alone. These things are pretty bad ass left stock.
