Hey Everyone, I recently got rear ended in my 2000 4Runner and the insurance company totaled it. It's a real bummer because I wanted to keep that truck forever. It looked and ran great! It only had 100k miles on it. The difference in payout amounts from the insurance company is $5700. Basically, when they pay me and if I want to keep the truck, then I will receive $5700 less. Having said that, how much is my truck worth if I sell it private party? Can I get more than $5700 dollars for it?

    Here's the details:

    2000 4Runner SR5
    98k miles
    4x4
Bilstein 5100 lift with OME coils
Ko2s with 17 inch TRD Rims
    Prinsu roof rack

What is the original amount/ value of truc.

That # from the insurance seems too high. They should give u the value (which I assume is $5,700) and then deduct 500-750 for the scrap valve in weight. Plus since it’s 15 yrs old they will not issue a salvage title either.
