So I just got a 91 4R 4WD, the vehicle of my dreams for a dirt cheap price considering everything is in working order. It did come with a known caveat: it leaks oil about a quart every 10 minutes. The leak appears to be coming from above the compressor and at this point that's all I can see. I've managed take off parts all the way down to the timing belt but it's still a shot in the dark to pin point exactly what's leaking. Anybody have an experience with a leak above the compressor that's pretty excessive? Posted is a picture showing the area it's coming from. Any help is much appreciated.

The pic is looking pretty oil wet on the timing belt pulley side of the sheet metal shroud which would possibly indicate that it is the seal on the camshaft. Oil is on the inside of the tensioner pulley too so its been getting all over the place. If the t-belt is oiled up I'd be looking to do a timing belt servicing ASAP and while at it replace the camshaft seals and replace the camshaft cover gaskets and maybe re-seal the end bearing caps on the CAMS that are at the top of the heads. I've used this on my Lotus 907 cam towers, Loctite 515 anaerobic gasket compound for 0 thickness gasket needs. Right stuff for everything else, best of luck on getting this sorted out!
