Finally found time to do my mirror upgrade and fog lights. Now I need to do some research for LED headlights.

Nothing too exciting. Installed my interior, reverse, and tag LED bulbs. Taking her on an 8 hour trip tomorrow, so also installed and AVS Bugshield II.

I ran the original 2Strokes in my 3rd gen Tacoma. Really nice for LEDs. I'll be switching to these from HIDs in the future.

Thought you'd all like to see this. I drove by the dealer today and saw BLACK wheels and door handles on an SR5. So, I pulled in and discovered this is a plastic cover! They are custom to the SR5 wheels and made out of the same (or similar) black plastic as bug deflectors. And there were also covers on the door handles.

Anyone ever seen these before? A first for me.

Installed a pair of KC Cyclone Under Hood LEDs, kit came complete (Wiring,Waterproof Switch,Inline Fuse,Mounting Hardware,Zip ties & Wiring Loom) and it really makes a difference on location, I choose that bend under the front of the hood, trimmed a little of the insulation but a perfect fit, the indentations next to the lights were made for the wires to travel under the insulation and across the hood frame. Used a Nutsert tool for the nuts and a little auto blue loctite, no rub and just have to remember to turn them off ;)

Very nice! I was wondering if those would fit up front in the bend where you placed yours. I saw another write up on those but the guy put them in the middle of the hood with screws. Not a good location. Any way I am leaning towards these versus the whole long strip. Thanks for the great review and writeup.

Ha. No idea. It wasn't listed on the window sticker. The way they appeared to snap on, I'd imagine they'd hold a ton of moisture after a wash or rain. I don't see how this would be preventable. But they sure are interesting.

Question: what are the "half steps" on the climate control changer? This doesn't make sense to me. The body icon options are "either-or". Makes sense. But the half steps? What am I missing?

Look at the middle red arrow in my photo, for example. Tell me what that's doing for you? I bet you can't. Prove me wrong.

I can't be the only one that's wondered this.

When you put it on one of the half way marks check and see if you have any air or a decrease of air is coming out of the vents.

    Haha. I hear ya.

But with that reasoning-- what that 25% is depends on what direction you're coming from on the dial. That's the odd thing. Makes sense going in one direction, but then if you go the other direction, it's opposite. Just something I find amusing.

Blacked out my chrome T with an overlay. Subtle change but I think it makes a big difference as the stock T draws the eye a bit too much in my opinion. 4Runner black emblem 2.jpg 4Runner black emblem 1.jpg

Were you able to buy just the overlay for the front and not the "kit"?
