Timer relays with momentary outuput exist for things like industrial automation, but they are a bit larger than a simple relay or switch. Example:

I noticed a little rattle in the wheel well and couldn't figure it out. I was looking at some 3D printed plugs for the rear trunk and stumbled upon these.

 

I was thinking of a standard SPDT relay, using a method similar to the bypass for the parking brake check on the pioneer dvd radios. On the older radios, you could simply ground the parking brake wire, but the newer radios, the ground had to be momentary using a relay.

 

You what?

 

sprayed the inner bumper foam black,
and added 3M velcro on bottom.
installed edge trim on cut w/ heat gun.
re-installed chopped bumper.
saving for a steel bumper anyway, one idea is to have my guy weld dom tubing.

I bought it from a fellow forum member who had pieced it together for his Pro, then changed his entire roof rack. It has "Matterhorn" laser cut on the fairing so I assume it is a Sherpa. I'm not sure about the brackets. They have no mfg name on them but they look pretty simple. I have not yet attached the center bracket, I'm undecided if I want that.
I did it just for looks as I have yet to use the rack. Maybe it could reduce the wind drag of the rack.

 

How did you make it look like that? Is that a kit?

 

I don't know about functionality, but it looks good. I haven't had any luck finding one for my truck.I see you have the Terra, I wanted that color, my wife wanted white.

It looks great, but I'm not ready to complain about cold weather yet, I'll think about you next week when I'm sitting on the beach drinking a beer.

 

Haven't had/seen snow down here since 2018 lol all we get is rain and weather below freezing every once in awhile.

 

Getting good mpg while drafting with cruise set at 1 second distance.

 

To me, at that speed, that's too close to avoid unseen road hazards. And almost a sure way to get a chipped or broken windshield.
But also, you do you.

 

When home in Sh!tcago, that amount of space is called "wasted by 5"

 

Hey, I too live in the People's Republic of Illinois, but in the southern part where people still have common sense and love our pew pews.

 

Here in MA if you leave that much space two cars will fill it in.
