For all of you who have been waiting, the group buy for Gobi is finally here. Details are below:

Group buy Code that will be valid from December 24th 2018 to January 11th 2019.

The deal will be the rack for $1,400.00 with the ladder, wind deflector and shipping included to the lower 48 states.

The 5th Gen will also include free rear gas shocks and the 3rd and 4th Gen will include a set of awning brackets (no substitutions).

The orders would have to be placed through the Gobi website (gobiracks.com) only and the code will have to be entered in the notes. The code for this is “GBXMAS2018”.

This code/sale is only available through us and the pricing will be adjusted when Gobi speaks to the costumers over the phone in order to collect payment information. This offer cannot be combined with any other offers or used on previous purchases.

The lead time will be a MINIMUM of 16 weeks! This is very solid and no one should expect their rack anytime before that as group buy orders are made in bigger batches.

Again, payment information will be taken over the phone, and discount will be applied. *Please note that payment will not be charged until the rack is ready to ship.*

All orders are final sales. If an exception is made and the ordered is canceled, a $500.00 cancellation fee will apply.

Do you have a maximum on the lead time? After which the $500 cancellation fee wouldn't be charged? I might be down for this deal, but if it gets to be 6-8 months out, man a lot can happen between now and then.

 

Unfortunately, I don’t. However, it sounds like they make them a bit faster in bulk (which sounds backwards). But I will keep posting updates in terms of timeline when I hear back from Gobi.

 

What Constitutes a “group buy”? I literally just ordered my rack a few days ago and wasn’t tracking this deal. Should I cancel and re-order?

 

Are the adjustable crossbars(x2) included at this price? Thx in advance for getting this GB together...

 

Was going to go in on this until I read about the 6 month+ wait with no correspondence and a $500 cancellation fee for something they can sell again without any problems. Not good business, I'll keep my money.
