Hi all I just bought a new ‘95 4Runner it’s a 2wd full power truck. It appears to be in good shape but I don’t know much about these trucks and I was wondering if I should look to be replacing any parts soon before they begin showing symptoms of catastrophe. I live in Vegas so I’m positive finding parts for it will not be a problem. I’ve owned her for about a week and she already scared the living hell put of me on thehighway when it started screaming bloody murder from behind the instrument cluster. Luckily I have read up on that and found it was the Speedometer cable. Sounds like an easy fix to an annoying problem. But she runs great, shifts amazing(for an automatic) and I feels good driving it :D
Anyway she has 179,500 miles on so I’m open to suggestions on what to start looking for next. She is my first 4runner and I would like to keep her alive as long as possible.

    Thanks in advance xD

I would start with the Lbj's, radiator.

another great option is some new tires! I have a bit of a sag in my rear so i'm getting a new suspension first but new tires are always a great starting point. either the new BFGoodrich KM3's or KO2's. those are some of the best looking tires in my opinion. the KO2's get better MPG but if youre an offroader like me you sould definitely get the KM3's

Thanks. I’m actually already thinking about trying to swap the tires between my old truck(92 rodeo) and the 4Runner. If that doesn’t work I’ll definitely look into new ones.
