Back to t4r (03) after 25yrs lost in Jeep/Isuzu weeds...still miss the 84 t4r tho...

My first t4r was an 84 22RE surfin baja machine! Stationed in San Dog, runnin south to Ensenada etc overland. Awesome machine! Somehow after the service got sidetracked by Isuzu Trooper (WTF???)...and Wrangler's. Jeeps are fun (especially that sweet inline 6) but more creature than comfort.
Finally pulled my head out in 2012 and returned to t4r, an 03 sport v6 w/125k in great shape. Completely love my truck! Love the 4ltr, the space under the hood & easy maintenance. I do it myself. Other than regular stuff (fluid changes, oil, TB cleanings, filters) I really havent modded anything yet. Just surf racks and a set of large Bridgestone Duellers.
Both the truck and my 08 Prius are paid off so now its time to have some fun! Gonna give that
prius a 6" lift and big ass tires. Just kiddin. lol
Got X-reas with 186k miles so when it breaks will probably install Toytec coilovers with a mild lift. Would like a plate F bumper but only if its not too heavy. Dont want to overburden the v6. Love the mpg. Blacked out headlights w/HID retrofit. Same for fogs. PIAA silver spots for the F bumper. (old fashioned). Engine runs great & dosent burn oil. Gonna systematically replace & upgrade parts (water pump) to hopefully get me past 500k. Add aluminum armor in several critical spots. May get larger Duellers after the lift. They are AWESOME tires, great on dirt, mild mud and snow/ice. very quiet on the road/highway and they wear VERY slowly.
Gonna ask some questions, steal some great ideas, gleam offa ya'll wisdom to try and do it right the first time. I believe u get what u pay for and quality usually does not dissapoint. I do not believe in getting ripped off by stealerships and all their bullshit these days. If you find a good one thats honest i'm all for givin back to Toyota, however these days chances are dealers are out to screw you and drain your wallet. Rant done!
