What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

I've had Mint Mobile for years. I have the $15 per month plan. I pay it yearly in full. It's $180 a year, plus tax. I think it comes out to just over $200. That's for data & voice.

Oh, to clarify, it's for ONE line.

 

So, essentially, it's another subscription and the signal comes by cell towers.
Or am I oversimplifying?

 

I think it's that simple. I believe the service runs through the AT&T network, if I recall correctly.

I took my shift lever into a fabric store and matched the thread color. I took out every stitch and matched the factory pattern. It wasn’t that hard just tedious.

Each of your phone plans is $15 for 5 gigs or whatever, that’s low compared to my area I can barely buy a six pack of for $15. I’m in a liquor store right now lol

 

Finally finished the 3rd row removal project with the cargo platform

 

I bought a black coroplast sheet and cut it to cover the gaps in the back by the way! Also had to trim the plastic pieces so that the coroplast was flat.

 

Although only had my 4R for a few weeks - just got:

-Yoda cargo mat - dealer threw it in as part of the deal
-Husky Weatherbeater Mats
-Hankook Winter Tires (+ Rims)
-Krown - getting applied soon.

As someone said here - the 4R is pretty good at lightening your wallet

If they had been any cleaner or better packed up I would’ve thought I was buying them brand new direct from Toyota, except they don’t normally bring bourbon as well!

Added cat guards to my OK Expedition transmission skid plate. Now I just need to actually install the engine and transmission skids...

 

As long as pupper wasn’t harmed in the sharing of the hair all is good.

 

All good. Pupper crossed the bridge two years ago, but I still find dog-hair tumbleweeds in the garage from time to time. ;^)

Engine is finally broken-in!

 

After 3k gentle on road miles decided it was time to break her in on a light trail. Also got to try my Staun tire (tyre?) deflator for first time https://amzn.to/48VL8uG

4Runner did great cruising around 8-20mph on this terrain except last 1-2 miles was washboard and really really rough with XREAS suspension. Had to go less than 5mph or felt like car would come apart. My friend with Ironman FCP suspension flew past me at 30-40mph.

Staun deflator was really fast and convenient but not too accurate in the pressures I wanted (25psi) but suspect due to user error, will need to play around with it more to dial them in just right.

 

Installed my DD SS3 Pro fogs. Love them. Easy install even with my short arms.

 

Great! Any thing worth looking into other than the usual wear and tear items while reaching that mileage?

 

More time-dependent than mileage:

The coolant transfer pipes running in the valley between cylinder banks are known to corrode and develop small pinhole leaks. Mine have corrosion but haven't leaked yet. Big job to replace as you have to pull the lower intake manifold.

A few spring clamps on evap system hoses cracked from rust. I replaced them with stainless worm clamps, which can be installed without disconnecting the hose (

I have seepage in the T-case speed sensor cap and steering rack boots. Haven't dealt with those.

The vehicle came with a broken fuel tank strap when I bought it early last year. It also has a cheap Walker muffler and tailpipe.

As far as I can tell, it's on the original water pump, radiator, evap canister, and wheel bearings, all running fine. The thermostat was working fine too, but I replaced it with an Aisin one as preventative maintenance.

 

Added AUTOCLOVER rain/wind deflectors. I never was a fan until I saw a post by another member that used them. I love how "low Profile" they are.
