What are you folks using for wax? Looking for obviously quality and maybe more important ease of application and specially removal. Hey getting lazy in my old age!

McKee's HiDef Paint Sealant is awesome stuff. Super easy to apply and remove. It's a liquid paint sealant (as opposed to paste). If you want a cleaner-sealant, McKees 360 has great durability for an all-in-one.

But if you want REALLY easy, you should try one of the new spray on wipe off sealants. McKees 10 Minute Paint Sealant or Blackfire SiO2 Spray Sealant. Both top notch products. Easy as windexing a window, and durability is probably 3-6 months depending on how often you touch the paint.

I just applied Chadwick's Triple Play to my Wife's Lexus GX 460 and its dam simple to do! I will be doing my '18 4R when the temp get back up to 50+ degrees. The Chadwicks Triple Play has some you tube vids you can watch and see how simple it is to use.

I'm a fan of McKee's products, the 360 is good stuff and I usually hit the Runner with some McKee's Extender Spray Wax in between applying the 360 with a buffer. I have the 10-Minute Paint Sealant but haven't applied it as of yet.

Griot's, Blackfire, Pinnacle, Chemical Guys, McKee's, Wolfgang ( in no particular order ) ...all good stuff. Hit up the detailing forums and start reading ( Autopia, Autogeek ), it's a metric butt-load of info but well worth the effort.

I think I'll go with a ceramic coating from now on. Cquartz uk or another brand . Still have some research to do.

You don’t need all these boutique waxes. Just clay you car with one of the new clay sponges, then put on some Colonite 845 and be done with it. Do a google search on the Colonite it is one of the all time most durable and highly recommended wax/sealants ever made.

I’ve been tempted to go this route too but have not yet because I have read too many horror stories about unevenness and clouding with the consumer grade ceramics. So for now I will stick to what I know works.

You need to know what you're doing when working with coatings. Have to educate yourself and do a full correction before applying the coating. One can learn, but it's not as simple as some might think. Definitely a learning curve.

Dam I have straight neglected the paint on my 4 as it has been months since I have even washed it. Need to get that thing waxed. Hell I may just pay to have it clay barred and ceramic coated at this point. It seems every time I have the time to do it, it's been snowing or raining.

Get the Eagle 1 clay towel (or the Griots or Mother's version). Use it with a bucket of soapy water. You can "clay" your truck in 10 minutes. Super easy and works well.

Either one of these. Haven't seen the eagle 1 locally in awhile but most stores now carry the mother's version.
