Hello All. I have a 91 4Runner with a heating issue. The rear heater blows nice warm air but the front one only blows cold air. There is no AC in the 4runner. I have had a power flush done recently with no change.

    Suggestions?

Front and rear steel bumpers, sliders, 31x10.50x15r K02s, led interior, tint, window weather deflectors, full size roof basket, leds on sides and rear of rack, remote start, keyless entry, rear window cargo storage and a sweet name tag.
I had this same issue. My heater control value is gunked up and it doesn’t allow move when I switch it from cold to hot. I can open the hood and push the heater control valve towards the firewall which is the hot option. It’s blows hot air! I just have to open the hood and move it back if I ever change to back to cold. It’s not ideal but it’s really not that bad. I found this out by recording a video of the heater control valve as I moved it from cold to hot. Best of luck!

I have the same issue in my 95. Idk if it’s the same, but I just reach under the dash in the passenger side and slide the vent manually with my hand. The cable that moves it might be just gummed up because it is diffficult to move between hot and cold air. When I have time I think I will take the dash apart enough to spray some lubricant on it.

to my knowledge, there are 2 heater cores for front and back, if your heater control valve is opening and closing as normal, it could be that your main heater core is clogged. I am having a similar problem, that my heater core keeps clogging so have to flush it out and then works fine
