Hot Wheels Mini-Me 4Runner

Picked up this 4runner Boulevard. Trying to duplicate the vinyl, not easy being so small. Got the sides done, doing the hood next.

 

Finished the hood. Not great but it'll do.

 

Cute! You're now ready to show that off at a Cars and Coffee!

 

It's a gift for my grandson since he loves mine so much. He's gonna dig it!

 

I ve been looking for a black one for the longest time. Matchbox makes them is what I ve been told. Walmart/Target/Dollar Store, never in stock.

 

The Hot Wheels Boulevard collection are the premium ones. They're never in stock because people buy them up to resell on eBay for a profit. Got mine on eBay for $11.

 

For the 5the gens Black was by hot wheels, it’s a premium model with rubber wheels, $40-50 on eBay if you are lucky. Most likely you won’t find these on pegs.

Blue/black/white/blue by hot wheels are all premiums from the boulevard line.

matchbox made them in blue/red.

 

You got a smoking deal, they usually go for much higher!

 

Although hot wheels is starting to repop some of them, like the white one.

 

It was $17.46 OTD with tax and shipping. But still a good deal!

 

Indeed, I currently have for hot wheels the blue and white, and matchbox 2 red and 1 blue. Had the black but just didn’t like the picture on the card so traded it off for a bunch more.

 

I tried painting a red matchbox to look like mine and it didnt go well. We're also National Parks geeks so I found a white Boulevard and repurposed some Explorer decals. Cards be damned, I like to roll them around

I got this one online from Walmart $26.49 delivered. Close as I could get to my white SR5P

 

I want one in Underground !

 

Drill out the rivets and start customizing. Tap the mounting holes for machine screws. A guy on Etsy is making 3d printed parts.

Look great! What mgm paint did you use? I tried to make mine but it ended up looking like a mix of cement and underground

 

I think I used a metallic charcoal spray from home depot, not perfect mgm but close.
